Family app developer Life360 (360) has launched a new membership plan.

Dubbed ‘Life360 membership,’ the All Ordinaries-lister took this morning to brief investors on its new premium model, which forms part of its mobile experience on the Life360 app.

The driving force behind Life360’s shakeup seems to be simplicity. Before, where families would need to sign up for ten different subscriptions to access a wide range of safety features, Life360 purports to offer it all in one — and at a much lower cost.

One of the new plan’s components is a holistic family safety feature, which aims to provide medical and roadside assistance, and even some pandemic and disaster response mechanisms.

Life360 users can add family members to their ‘circles’ and track their location in real-time. They can also send out SOS alerts and ‘check-in’ when they reach their destination to let loved ones know they’re safe.

Additionally, the Life360 app now provides identity threat protection and will make funding and specialist help available to members whose identity is stolen.

Because of all the new features, Life360 has also opted to change up its subscription structure. Now, it’s transitioning to a four-tier membership model, where the prices range from free to US$19.99 (around A$28.59) a month.

More broadly, Life360 believes the updates will help it address a wide range of demographics, targeting users in every stage of life.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and its wide-reaching economic effects, Life360 was proud to roll out the changes as expected, completing the U.S. launch by July 10.

Investors are eager to get behind the company in midday trade, boosting Life360’s share price by 4.5 per cent to over $3 per share at 2:11 pm AEST.
