Lifespot Health (LSH) has received the deposit from IONIC Brands to commence tooling and production of a new slim line Smart Vaporiser.
The first production of 500 units will be distributed to retailers in IONIC’s core vaporiser states. It brings a smart vaporising technology to the market and addresses unmet needs for safety and quality.
Currently, IONIC is the number 1 vaporiser brand in Washington. It is building a multi-state, consumer-focused cannabis brand portfolio focusing on the premium and luxury areas.
Similarly aligned is Lifespot’s aim to deliver diagnostic systems and digital medicine delivery platforms to the healthcare sector.
This year, Lifespot’s subsidiary, Seng-Vital, launched Medihale which is a digitally integrated medical cannabis vaporiser hardware and software solution. It incorporates the Bodytel App to be a world-first integrated vaporising system.
The new Slim-line Vape will be the first bluetooth-enabled vaporiser and platform designed to use cannabis. Individuals can control the dosage with maximum safety to track and measure progress including a fingerprint security system.
The product is expected to be on the market before the end of March 2020.
Recently, there has been a lot of controversy around the use of vaporisers and vaping.
On December 20, the United States Centres for Disease Control and Prevention Laboratory Findings reported an update on the studies around lung injuries from vaping.
Data showed that vitamin E acetate, which is an additive in some THC-containing e-cigarettes and vaping products, is associated with the injuries.
It was found that vitamin E was identified in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid samples from 48 of the 51 patients, but not in the BAL fluid from the healthy comparison group.
No other toxicants were found in BAL fluid from either group, except for coconut oil and limonene.
IONIC Brands reiterated it “has never and will never” use any additives that contain vitamin E acetate, or any others based on petrochemicals.
Lifespot Health is steady today, with shares trading for 3 cents each at 12:49 pm AEDT.
