Lode Resources (LDR) has begun diamond drilling at the Webbs Consol Silver Project in New South Wales.

The Webbs Consol Project lies 16 kilometres west-southwest of Emmaville and was discovered in 1890 with periodic mining up to the mid-1950s.

It contains several small but high-grade silver-lead-zinc-gold deposits within the Webbs Consol Leucogranite.

Around 1500 metres of diamond drilling has been planned to test high-grade silver mineralisation and extensions of mineralisation identified in underground workings.

Previous rock chip logging, mapping and sampling have identified extensive silver and lead mineralisation over a two-kilometre strike.

To date, 30 surface samples have returned silver grading more than 20 grams of silver per tonne (g/t) with up to 289g/t silver identified in an area of interest.

Once drilling wraps up at Webbs, diamond drilling will also be undertaken at Lucky Lucy and Webbs Consol Central.

Furthermore, a reverse circulation drill rig has been contracted to begin drilling at Lode’s Uralla Gold Project on October 25.

Shares in Lode were down 3.70 per cent and were trading at 13 cents at 3:50 pm AEST.
