Lodestar Minerals Ltd (ASX:LSR) has identified three new copper targets through soil sampling at its Earaheedy project in Western Australia, with the work focusing on the Anticline prospect – where two gravity highs associated with a complex magnetic response were discovered.

The work was conducted in October 2024, and involved taking 637 samples from the newly granted E69/3532 tenement across two prospects: Anticline and Imbin Central; 565 and
72 samples were taken from each.

At the Anticline prospect, samples yielded from an area measuring 20 kilometres long by eight kilometres wide. This area presented evidence of volcanic rocks, although most of the prospect is under cover, posing a challenge to geological mapping.

New targets were identified using multielement analysis on these 637 samples taken in October, in addition to 524 collected in early 2024. These are now to be explored throughout 2025, starting in March.

Lodestar managing director Ed Turner said it had been particularly important to begin sampling work on the Earaheedy tenements.

“After more than 9620 soil samples completed by Lodestar since 2022, we are pleased to announce newly defined targets at our Earaheedy Project in Western Australia,” he said.

“E69/3532 is one of our most prospective tenements in the Project, and this is the
first work we could complete since the grant of the tenement in October 2024.

“Following the identification of these new anomalies detailed geological mapping will be required to evaluate each target and their potential.”

Lodestar has been trading at 1.3 cents.
