Los Cerros (LCL) has found further gold intercepts at its Quinchia Gold Project in Risaralda, Colombia.
These latest results continue to expand the Tesorito South porphyry discovery.
The company has received assays for holes TS-DH25 and TS-DH26, with both holes intercepting high-grade gold mineralisation at the surface.
TS-DH25 tested for extension of the Tesorito South gold mineralisation to the northwest. Results from this hole include 330.3 metres at 0.99 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from the surface.
While hole TS-DH26 aimed to further define surface high grade found in TS-DH24 and TS-DH25. Results included 56 metres at 1.95 g/t of gold from the surface, including 24.3 metres at 2.69g/t gold.
These new results continue to expand the surface high-grade zone first identified in hole TS-DH24, which remains open to the north and east.
Managing Director Jason Stirbinskis is pleased with these latest results.
“Given the recent results of TS-DH24 which shares the same drill pad as ’25 and ’26, we expected very good results near-surface, which was clearly delivered in both new holes,” he said.
“The enormous 330-metre interval at around 1g/t gold encountered in TS-DH25 is far wider than anticipated and bodes well for potential mineralised volumes extending further northward and to the northeast.”
Los Cerros is awaiting results from TS-DH27, which has the potential to dramatically change the Tesorito North area.
“All attention is now on pending assay results from TS-DH27, sited ~100m northeast of TS-DH25, as this has the potential to dramatically expand mineralised volumes to the northeast towards Tesorito North,” Mr Stirbinskis concluded.
Los Cerros was trading up 6.06 per cent at 17.5 cents per share at 10:57 am AEST.
