Results from M3 Mining’s (M3M) maiden drilling campaign at the Victoria Bore Copper Project near Exmouth in WA have confirmed polymetallic mineralisation.

A total of 1,128 metres of reverse circulation (RC) drilling was completed by Strike Drilling in November 2021. Ten of the eleven holes drilled intercepted copper or base metal mineralisation.

Downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveys completed on three holes identified several off-hole conductors not defined by previous geophysical surveys highlighting the potential for further sulphide mineralisation at Victoria Bore.

Assay results include 9 metres at 1.03 per cent copper from 20 to 29 metres including 2 metres at 2.97 per cent copper, 13 grams per tonne of silver, and 0.25 per cent lead from 25 to 27 metres.

Another hole found 6 metres at 0.42 per cent copper from 28 to 34 metres, including 1 metre at 1.66 per cent copper from 28-29 metres.

The third hole uncovered 1 metre at 0.8 per cent zinc and 0.46 per cent lead from 99 metres to the end of the hole.

Geochemical analysis of key elements confirms the presence of a primary base metal sulphide system at depth beneath the previously mined prospect, open along strike.

M3M Executive Director Simon Eley described the results as fantastic.

“With such significant copper with associated polymetallic mineralisation alongside elevated values of zinc, lead, silver, and cobalt in early drilling we are well placed to continue this momentum,” he said.

“The initial drilling results combined with the DHEM survey have provided us with increased confidence in the overall potential of the tenement package to host additional base metal sulphide deposits.”

M3 Mining intends to expedite a follow-up exploration program including further ground electromagnetic surveys, high impact drilling of untested conductors and tenement wide soil sampling.

Shares in M3M were down 38.6 per cent at 27 cents at 11.17am AEDT.
