- Mamba Exploration (M24) begins reverse circulation drilling at the Southern prospect within its Calyerup Creek project in Western Australia
- This round of drilling will follow up on work completed in late 2021 and early 2022 and aims to double the strike length of the known mineralisation in the area to 1000 metres
- Previous results included 15 metres at 2.08 grams of gold per tonne from three metres, including two metres at 9.74 g/t gold
- The earlier drilling discovered gold mineralisation that extends to shallow depths of around 35 metres, and now M24 will test mineralisation below 50 metres
- Mamba shares last traded at 11.5 cents on November 9
Mamba Exploration (M24) has kicked off reverse circulation drilling at the Southern prospect within its Calyerup Creek project in Western Australia.
M24 said this round of drilling would follow up on previous exploration work in the area to extend the prospect’s strike length to 1000 metres and test mineralisation below 50 metres.
The project lies in WA’s Great Southern region, where the company completed shallow drilling in late 2021 and early 2022.
This earlier work discovered mineralisation that extends over a strike length of more than 500 metres and to shallow depths of around 35 metres.
Of the thirty-two drill holes completed, all but five intersected mineralisation the company considered significant.
Results included 15 metres at 2.08 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from three metres, including two metres at 9.74 g/t gold, as well as 15 metres at 2.20 g/t gold from one metre, including three metres at 3.53 g/t gold.
M24 said its new drilling program would mark the first drilling below 50 metres from the surface in the area.
Mamba shares last traded at 11.5 cents on November 9.
