Mantle Minerals (ASX:MTL) has released its quarterly activities report for December 2023, highlighting progress at its Roberts Hill and Mt Berghaus projects in Western Australia.

During the quarter, the company completed an extensive aircore drilling program at Roberts Hill, totalling 13,475 metres drilled across 174 holes.

Geophysical data from Roberts Hill suggests this mineralisation could connect with the stratigraphy hosting the Hemi gold deposit.

Future outlook

Following the company’s grant of a new exploration license for its Mt Berghaus project, Mantle is geared to complete a 13,000-metre aircore drilling program at the project in the first half of 2024.

The Mt Berghaus project covers an area of 84 square kilometres of De Grey Mining’s (ASX:DEG) Hemi Gold discovery, bringing Mantle’s total granted tenements in the area to around 399 square kilometres.

MTL is planning to commence reverse circulation drilling to follow up on any significant intersections identified in its air-core programs at both Roberts Hill and Mt Berghaus, and this drilling is expected to commence around mid-2024.

Mantle Minerals reported cash and cash equivalents of $1.9 million at the end of the quarter.

MTL shares were up 20 per cent, trading at 0.3 cents at 3:45 pm AEDT.
