ASX stocks to watch
In stocks, Macquarie Group (ASX:MGQ) is facing a vote against its remuneration report, which would be the second strike at the meeting. This time last year, over a quarter of all Macquarie’s shareholders voted against that same report, in what was the first major shareholder revolt against the company.
Elsewhere, Origin (ASX:ORG) is investigating a possible security breach after an alleged hacker claimed to have accessed the personal details of about two million customers. Origin says no credit card or banking details were leaked, though The Aus did say it was shown a sample of some 50 customer records: names, addresses, emails, dates of birth, phone numbers and bill history.
Alkane Resources (ASX:ALK) has got chins wagging on the HotCopper forums after pledging to pay a fully franked dividend of 2cps for the first time.
Ceretas is arriving on the bourse today as well, after originally delaying its July arrival. Ceretas will list under ticker “CTS” at 25cps, and is looking for $8M to fund research into a portable, non-invasive therapeutic ultrasound platform to treat Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative conditions.
Expect SaaS software player Monvia to list lunchtime tomorrow, too.
