Metal Hawk (MHK) has commenced a drilling program at its Emu Lake Project, near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.

The program includes 12,000 metres of aircore drilling and is targeting a number of gold targets that were identified from 2020 and 2021 auger drilling.

Additionally, the drilling will also be testing the fertile ultramafic belt at the project.

Metal Hawk has a farm-in and joint venture agreement with Western Areas (WSA), which is earning the nickel rights at Emu.

Managing Director Will Belbin is pleased to commence the drilling program.

“We are targeting a number of exciting geochemical gold anomalies which have never been drilled and are also very pleased see our joint venture partners Western Areas progress nickel sulphide exploration at Emu Lake,” he said.

Notably, there has been very little historical exploration at the project, which covers an area of 65 squared kilometres.

Metal Hawk was trading up 6.10 per cent at 21.8 cents per share at 3:02 pm AEST.
