Metalicity (MCT) has begun drilling at the McTavish Prospect within the Kookynie Gold Project in Western Australia.

The Kookynie Project lies roughly 180 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie and 50 kilometres south of Leonora.

A total of 19 reverse circulation (RC) holes, for 2100 metres, have been planned to test the untested two kilometre strike between the McTavish and the Leipold prospects.

This area remains open and has never been effectively drilled.

Diamond core drilling will then be undertaken to follow up on previously reported bonanza gold results which includes five metres at 25.9 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from 28 metres including one metre at 91.2g/t gold from 30 metres.

CEO Justin Barton says the company was excited to begin drilling.

“We are excited to have commenced drilling at McTavish to follow up on the spectacular results we received in our last drilling program,” Mr Barton said.

“Combined with testing the two kilometres of strike between McTavish and Leipold, this program is highly anticipated and may be extended depending on results.”

Shares in Metalicity were up 11.1 per cent on the market and are trading at one cent at 3:28 pm AEST.
