Côte d’Ivoire specialist MetalsGrove Mining (ASX:MGA) has discovered a significant cluster of three gold anomalous soil samples at the new Stellar JV Zuénoula permit. MD and CEO, Lijun Yang, said these samples are coincident with a north-east-trending magnetic feature and have become a key follow-up target.

“These initial results are a great start to our 2026 field season, and the application of the innovative portable PPB assay technology has eliminated the usual time delay between sample collection, receipt of assays, and the implementation of follow-up in-fill soil sampling,” Mr Yang explained.
MetalsGrove expanded its gold exploration assets in Côte d’Ivoire in December CY25 by securing the high-potential Stellar joint venture, which included the Zuénoula permit owned by TSX-listed Stellar Africa Gold (SPX).
The company has also firmed up a relationship with a highly experienced West African team, SEMS Exploration Services, to assist with its Côte d’Ivoire exploration.
“I am pleased SEMS has additional capacity to mobilise a second sampling crew to Zuénoula to further increase our rates,” Mr Yang said.
“The Zuénoula permit lies immediately adjacent to our existing Kounahiri West, and Vavoua permits, and together they create a contiguous exploration corridor with shared favourable geological characteristics, including mixed volcanic and metasediment lithological sequences, complex structural features and active artisanal workings, all of which are strong indicators of gold discovery potential.”
MetalsGrove fast-tracked a field program just four weeks after signing the Stellar JV. These new soil anomalies were uncovered in that initial program, which collected some 200 samples; 124 assays have already been completed.
An additional 90 infill samples over a 13 sq. km anomalous area are to be collected to follow up on the initial gold-anomalous cluster of three soil samples.
The results will assist in future drill planning, MetalsGrove has confirmed.
MGA has been steady at 8cps today.
