MetalsTech (MTC) has identified more visible gold while diamond drilling at its Sturec project in Slovakia.

While sampling the latest drillhole, UGA-42, MTC identified gold at just over 58 metres downhole and then again at 100 metres downhole.

Drilling terminated at 112 metres and intersected around 107 metres (not true thickness) of variably argillic altered and brecciated andesite host rock containing quartz filled vein breccia variable rich in fine to very fine grained sulphides.

The core is being sampled and will be dispatched to a laboratory as soon as possible

Today’s results follow on from the observation of 0.2 millimetres of gold in previous drill hole UGA-41 at 130 metres downhole.

Both UGA-42 and -41 were completed to infill below UGA-30 which intersected a thick mineralised zone grading 3.2 grams of gold per tonne and 11.8 grams of silver per tonne from surface.

MetalsTech is also expecting to receive results from a scoping study shortly pending finalisation of CAPEX estimates from a third party.

Company shares dropped 1.47 per cent to trade at 33.5 cents at 11:58 am AEST.
