Microsoft teams up with LiveTiles for global distribution

Microsoft has teamed up with software developer LiveTiles to co-sell LiveTiles’ products on Microsoft Teams.

This partnership with see the Microsoft Teams platform be used in 39 countries.

Teams is the tech giant’s collaborative platform, featuring functions for workplace chats, video meetings, file storage and application integration.

According to Microsoft, Teams has 13 million active daily users and 19 million active weekly users.

LiveTiles’ programs enhance features of Teams, and can also be used as an addition to Office 365 and Azure.

CEO of LiveTiles Karl Redenbach said: “We continue to build and innovate on Microsoft platforms, including Office 365, SharePoint, Azure and now Microsoft Teams, presenting another layer of opportunity for expansion of our intelligent workplace vision.”

The company explained its software “empowers its users to create their own intelligent workplace solutions”. Its product portfolio includes Wizdom and Hyperfish.

Chief Product Officer at LiveTiles Simon Tyrell said: “We are focused on supporting effective collaboration, with Hyperfish’s integration to Microsoft Teams empowering users to find the right people and skills across the organisation.”

Additionally, the company aims to make its AI-powered chatbots available natively within Teams.

Microsoft has invited LiveTiles to exclusive events to present the new Teams solutions, which include the Microsoft Retail and Consumer Goods Executive Experience in London and the Digital Transformation Academy in Las Vegas.

LiveTiles expects to capitalise on Microsoft’s push to promote Teams during the financial year.

LiveTiles’ share price is up 7.04 per cent today, currently sitting at $0.38 apiece, as of AEST 12:44 pm.
