Mithril Resources (MTH) has begun the final preparations for exploration at the Copalquin Gold Silver Project in Mexico.

These preparations come after a strongly supported capital raise and the appointment of a new CEO and Chief Geologist.

The Copalquin Project is located in Sierra Madre Occidental, Durango State in Mexico, about 80 kilometres north-northeast of the city of Culiacán.

The area is host to at least 32 high-grade gold-silver mines with large deposits and argillic alteration.

Past drilling programs have returned significant results of 13.25 metres at 74.89g/t gold and 706g/t silver, 17.77 metres at 45.16g/t gold and 118.2g/t silver, and 4.53 meters at 28.99g/t gold and 2350.3g/t silver.

This new work will begin at La Soledad, where there are significant historic underground mine workings and indications of gold and silver mineralisation at depth.

Other works at Copalquin include a helicopter assisted diamond core drill program, and mapping and sampling activities to outline future drill targets.

“We are excited to be preparing for our maiden drill program at Copalquin and to have secured the services of two important and highly regarded contractors with many years working in the Sierra Madre Gold Silver Trend in Mexico,” CEO John Skeet said.

“The maiden drill program centres mainly in the area of previous drilling and importantly, wiliest out to confirm depths and continuity of the known mineralised structures associated within these historically mined areas,” he added.

Mithril is steady on the market today and shares are trading for 1.4 cents each.
