Mithril Resources (MTH) has intercepted high-grade gold and silver along a 95-meter strike in El Refugio in Mexico.

El Refugio sits within the Copalquin Gold Silver District and is part of Mithril’s Copalquin gold-silver project.

Within intercept CDH-094, 18.67 meters at 9.64 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 278.8g/t from 144 meters were found.

Included in this intercept was 9.3 meters at 17.9g/t gold and 482.2g/t silver from 148.89 meters.

A secondary drill hole and the deepest to date, CDH-096 ended at 504 meters and await drill assays.

Highlights from the infill assay from hole CDH-085 are two meters at 9.90g/t gold and 122g/t silver from 286 meters.

Metallurgical test work will start later this month with an expansion of the project a goal for 2022.

Mithril CEO and Managing Director John Skeet said the expansion of the project will go ahead if the current conditions remain.

“The intercepts are in line with the geologic model and El Refugio continues to expand at depth and west, outside the first resource area within our 70 square kilometre Copalquin Mining District,” he said.

Mithril Resources was up 13.3 per cent and was trading at 1.7 cents at 12:36 am AEDT.
