The $165 million contract is for the design and construction of non-process infrastructure facilities including a heavy mine equipment workshop, as well as heavy and light mine equipment washdown, tyre change and fuel storage and refuelling facilities.

Monadelphous MD, Zoran Bebic, said work will commence in 2026 and is expected to be completed in 2028.

“The award reflects Kerman’s expertise and strong track record, further strengthening its forward order book,” he said.

“Kerman’s award of this work builds on the multidisciplinary construction contract that Monadelphous secured at BS1 late last year. It is also very pleasing to see Kerman secure another contract with Rio Tinto, in addition to the work currently being performed at Hope Downs 2.”

Earlier this month Monadelphous announced the award of $200 million of new construction and maintenance contracts in the resources and energy sectors.

Notably, Monadelphous secured two of those contracts with Fortescue.

The first for the installation of wind turbine generators (WTGs) associated with the Nullagine Wind project in WA.

The company was also awarded a three-year contract to continue delivering maintenance services across Fortescue’s Pilbara operations in WA.

In Queensland, the company secured a three-year contract (with two one-year extension options) to provide multidisciplinary services at Santos’ upstream field development and production operations.

Monadelphous was also awarded a contract with Santos for the construction of temporary camp facilities associated with the APF Tie-In project in the Southern Highlands region of Papua New Guinea, with work expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

Finally, the company landed a three-year contract to continue providing operation and maintenance services at Synergy’s Muja Power Station in Collie, Western Australia.

MND was steady at $28.47 with a Mkt cap of $2.863B prior to markets opening.
