Navarre Minerals (NML) has begun aircore (AC) drilling at its Langi Logan prospect within the Stawell Corridor Project in Victoria.

Up to 12,000 metres of AC drilling will be undertaken on regional targets identified by the CSIRO that have strong potential for gold mineralisation.

This work adds onto the 10,000-metre diamond drilling program that is currently underway at the Resolution Lode.

Previous drilling at Langi Logan has delivered multiple significant intersections of gold mineralisation with all remaining open along strike and at depth.

Up to 33.6g/t gold has been intersected and a best composite assay of 33 metres at 2.9g/t gold from 66 metres including 11 metres at 5.1g/t gold has been returned.

“Our previous drilling and the terrific predictive modelling work of CSIRO have highlighted the potential for a second large gold system at Langi Logan within our Stawell Corridor Gold Project,” Managing Director Ian Holland said.

“We are excited to be back drilling on our regional projects, which together with our 10,000-metre diamond drilling program at Irvine will generate strong news flow over the coming months,” he added.

Navarre will also undertake drilling at the Jubilee and St Arnaud projects with aims to identify new gold systems.

Company shares are up 2.94 per cent on the market and are trading for 17.5 cents each at 12:24 pm AEDT.
