New World Resources (NWC) has received significant new results from the Antler Copper Project in Arizona, US.

Results have been received for the first five holes with all intersecting high-grade mineralisation.

These holes were drilled to test the shallower parts of a 300-metre-long untested controlled-source audio-frequency magnetotelluric anomaly.

Best results include 10.3 metres at 1.5 per cent copper, 1.1 per cent zinc, 2.1 per cent lead, 0.11 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) and 53.5g/t silver from 345.5 metres, including 2.9 metres at two per cent copper, 3.4 per cent zinc, 6.1 per cent lead, 0.19g/t gold and 144g/t silver.

Additionally, a new zone of thick mineralisation was discovered in an underexplored area 200 metres south of the South Shoot.

Managing Director Mike Haynes is pleased with what he describes as a promising and significant development.

“The discovery of thick mineralisation 200 metres south of the South Shoot, in our initial drilling in this area, is very promising and a significant development,” Mr Haynes said.

“These results show that there is still considerable exploration upside at Antler – not only at depth but also along strike. We’ll continue to explore at the same time as we advance Antler through the mine permitting process.”

Only 150 metres of the 300-metre anomaly was tested and New World believes there is potential to discover additional mineralisation in this area.

Two diamond rigs are continuing to operate and results are pending for a further nine holes.

New World was up 3.95 per cent on the market with shares trading at 7.9 cents at 12:19 pm AEST.
