Northern Minerals has announced further high-grade assay results at its Dazzler prospect in the Browns Range Project.

In September, the company drilled 51 holes at Dazzler and have received assay results for the first 12.

Results showed intercepts from the surface of up to 7.71 per cent TREO (total rare earth oxides), including 7502 parts-per-million of dysprosium.

The drilling program focused on the area of the screen slope below the scarp where previous drilling was undertaken. The program was designed to test areas outside the previous drilling and update the existing mineral resources.

These results show that many of the intercepts occur near the surface, increasing the potential for a low operating cost operation.

Northern Minerals says these results will be used to update the mineral resource estimate, which will be completed in January 2020.

CEO George Bauk says he is continuing to be impressed about the potential of Dazzler.

“As with all mineral deposits ‘grade is king’ and these results continue to deliver on the upside,” George said.

“We will now commence updating the mineral resource estimate and investigate mining studies for Dazzler,” he added.

Further RC drilling at Browns Range is set to commence later this week. Exploration and resource definition drilling is planned at several different deposits and targets.

Northern Minerals are up 3.77 per cent and trading at 5.5 cents per share at 11:15 am AEDT.
