Spark New Zealand has informed Norwood Systems (NOR) that it has commenced marketing and promotion for Spark Voicemail.

Spark is New Zealand’s largest digital services company. It provides mobile, broadband and digital services to millions of people and thousands of businesses.

On January 30 2020, Norwood signed an agreement with Spark NZ to provide it with a Spark-branded version of Norwood’s World Voicemail software application.

World Voicemail is a next-generation voicemail subscription app which offers advanced features compared to regular voicemails.

Under the agreement, Spark NZ would market the newly-branded version of the software app.

“We are delighted to see that Spark has now commenced aggressive, direct end-user promotion of the Spark Voicemail service, and that Spark has now made the service generally available to all Spark subscribers,” Norwood CEO and Founder Paul Ostergaard said.

Based on latest projections and modelling, Norwood expects gross revenues during the multi-month ramp up phase may exceed between $50,000 and $100,000 per week. It also anticipates the service will deliver a significant ongoing contribution to its revenues and cashflow well beyond the ramp up phase.

Norwood will report actual revenues over the next few weeks but so far Spark’s marketing efforts, that just commenced yesterday, has led to the app reaching #6 in the ‘Productivity’ category on Apple’s NZ App Store.

“We could not be happier with the excellent initial performance of the service during the earlier ‘restricted release’ period, which provided Spark with an opportunity to test fully all aspects of marketing, activation and support for the end-to-end customer experience,” Paul added.

Norwood Systems is up 7.50 per cent with shares trading for 4.3 cents each at 2:02 pm AEDT.
