- Nova will also follow-up on previous results, which peaked as high as 27.6 grammes per tonne gold
- Results from this program will be announced as soon as samples have been analysed
- Nova shares are up a steady 23.3 per cent and are currently trading for 3.7 cents each
Despite COVID-19, Nova Minerals (NVA) will restart drilling at the Estelle Gold Project in Alaska to fast-track development.
This drilling is aiming to significantly increase the size of the current 2.5 million ounce resource for the project.
Drilling will also follow-up on previously intersected results such as 27.6g/t gold, 1.2g/t gold, and 0.4g/t gold.
“After events that have been out of all our control, we are pleased to be recommencing the 2020 drill program and look forward to an exciting growth period for Nova in 2020,” Chairman Avi Kimelman commented.
“We have to adapt and are pleased to have the team that can make this happen both technically and safely with multiple plans in place to give us flexibility in our efforts,” he said.
Now that drilling is set to restart and COVID-19 is still ongoing, Nova is taking precautionary measures to protect its employees and their families, consultants, contractors, and the community.
This includes social distancing, increased hygiene practices, and working from home when necessary.
“Nova is committed to operational safety and the safety of our employees. We are aligning our activities with recommendations from the WHO (World Health Organisation), the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and local Alaskan state authorities and will work with strict protocols in place,” Avi said.
The Estelle Gold Project is located approximately 177 kilometres northwest of Anchorage and approximately 180 kilometres southeast of McGrath in Alaska.
It is made up of 346 state mining claims and covers 220 square kilometres of unconcealed mining claims on State of Alaska public lands.
There are also multiple prospects within the area, including Korbel, Stoney, Emerald, and Mount Estelle.
Results from this program will be announced once samples have been analysed and tested.
Nova shares are up a steady 23.3 per cent and shares are trading for 3.7 cents each at 11:49 am AEST.
