Nova Minerals (ASX:NVA) has struck two high-grade surface gold anomalies at its flagship Estelle gold project in Alaska, expanding the known mineralised footprint at both the Muddy Creek and Discovery prospects.

The company’s Head of Exploration, Hans Hoffman, spearheaded a comprehensive surface mapping and sampling program across the entire Estelle project during the 2023 field season. This campaign included 45 traverses totalling 100 line kilometres and yielded 674 soil samples, 446 rock samples, and 21 stream sediment samples.

At Muddy Creek, Nova unearthed a surface gold anomaly stretching over 1.5 kilometres, with grades reaching 127 grams per tonne (g/t) gold. 18 rock samples returned grades exceeding 10 g/t gold, and more than 80 per cent of soil samples exceeded 1 g/t gold.

“The most continuous high-grade gold anomalies on the Estelle claim block… gold mineralisation coincident with sheeted, northwest-trending, quartz-arsenopyrite veins,” Mr Hoffman said.

“This prospect warrants subsurface exploration to test the extent of the mineralisation.

“Discovery adds another 800m to the 1.5km anomaly identified at Muddy Creek.”

Nova plans to return next year for channel sampling, prioritising sheeted vein and fracture-fill mineralisation within the granodiorite host rock, with a particular focus on gold.

NVA last traded at 28.5 cents.
