- This deal follows a string of successes for Novatti including a partnership with Southeast Asia-based Ripple, with Google Pay and Samsung Pay, as well as being licensed to issue its cards in New Zealand
- Novatti ended Friday’s session 10.4 per cent in the green, trading at 26.5 cents
Novatti Group (NOV) has announced its Visa Prepaid cards are now supported by Apple Pay.
Novatti offers both physical and digital Visa Prepaid cards in Australia after being awarded a principal issuer licence by Visa in September 2019. The extension of its cards to Apply Pay follows extensive testing and integration works.
This partnership allows Novatti’s clients to use Apple’s global payments platform, Apple Pay, to make purchases in store, through apps, and online using their Apple device.
Significantly, Novatti joins major Australian banks, including ANZ, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, NAB and Westpac, in being supported by Apple Pay.
“By partnering with Apple Pay, Novatti is providing its clients with even greater flexibility and coverage in their choice of mobile device, and therefore, the opportunity for Novatti’s platforms to scale further,” Managing Director Peter Cook said.
It seems Novatti has been highly focused on growth since the last quarter, as it reported a number of achievements.
At the start of November, the digital banking and payments company announced partnering with Google Pay and Samsung Pay. Novatti’s Visa Prepaid cards would be supported by the global digital payment platforms.
On December 7, it partnered with Ripple to target the Southeast Asian market.
Under the deal, Novatti’s customers gained access to Ripple’s global financial network, RippleNet, and the financial institutions that Ripple works with, such as American Express and MoneyGram.
Additionally, Novatti has just been licensed by Visa to issue prepaid cards in New Zealand.
The deal, announced earlier this week, allows the company to provide value-adding services to existing customers in New Zealand.
“By increasing the reach of Novatti’s Visa Prepaid cards, we aim to further scale our card issuing and transactions,” Peter concluded.
