Nuheara (NUH) has become registered as a service provider under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program.

With the new accreditation, Nuheara can offer an end-to-end hearing solution through the Hearing Services Program (HSP), supplying and dispensing the product, and organising telehealth consultations with qualified audiologists, bypassing third party audiologists.

Consultations will take place with qualified HSP customers, known as voucher holders, via a scalable telehealth platform, based on online audiological services.

The company said the appointment complements its accreditation as an HSP-approved manufacturer for IQbuds2 MAX as an assisted listening device.

The IQbuds2 MAX is a wireless earbud which can augment a user’s hearing according to their preferences to meet the demand for mild to moderate hearing loss.

The cost of IQbuds2 MAX and the service consultations will be provided free of charge to voucher holders by Nuheara, and then rebated in full by the Australian Government.

“In the hearing health industry we know that the product is only one part of the hearing health journey,” Nuheara Director of Hearing Health Kat Penno said.

“Service delivery is paramount to an inclusive, educational and empowering client experience. We are pleased the Australian government has recognised this and registered Nuheara as a service provider under the HSP.”

Nuheara was up 2.38 per cent, trading at 2.2 cents at 11:26 am AEDT.
