Nutritional Growth Solutions (NGS) has started production of its Healthy Heights product in New Zealand after executing an agreement with NIG Nutritionals.

The agreement will see NIG Nutritionals manufacture and package the product as a New Zealand supplement food for distribution in China and Asia Pacific markets.

The first batch of the product will consist of 14,000 units and is currently being produced.

This is expected to be distributed to China and Australia in three tranches, starting in approximately four weeks.

Production in New Zealand was necessary in order to satisfy distribution agreements with Chemist Warehouse China, UltraHealth and Australia Sunshine, which will see the product stocked through popular eCommerce platforms.

This includes the Alibaba flagship store, JD.com, Lazada, Shopee, Tik Tok and Little Red Book.

Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Liron Fendell said this is a milestone for the company.

“We have reached a major milestone in our growth strategy as we prepare for our quality, New Zealand Healthy Heights formula to arrive in China and Southeast Asia,” she said.

“New Zealand is globally renowned for producing quality dairy and is held in the highest regards by parents in China and Asia.

“It also provides us with a simpler, faster and more cost-effective supply chain, allowing even more children access to our nutritional products that have been developed by leading pediatric specialists and backed by rigorous clinical studies.”

Shares were trading flat today at 16 cents each at 1:35 pm AEDT.
