Orange Minerals (OMX) has commenced phase two drilling at the joint venture Calarie gold project in NSW, held with Godolphin Resources (GRL).

A total of 1000 metres of diamond drilling will be completed, which will test mineralisation at depth below historical workings.

The program will consist of five drill holes targeting an inflexion zone beneath the old mine workings. One or two shallower drill holes will be completed to verify historical reverse circulation (RC) results.

A drill rig and support crew have arrived on site, with the first drill hole underway.

“This is an extremely exciting drill programme for the company and is planned to demonstrate the significant upside potential of this project, where results in the phase one RC program in December 2021 were outstanding,” Managing Director David Greenwood said.

Shares have ended the day 9.89 per cent in the green to close at 10 cents.
