Orcoda (ODA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with several parties for its national Smart Pole pilot.

The logistics, resources and healthcare company has announced it will work with Wagners CFT Manufacturing to manufacture the poles going forward.

ODA’s Smart Pole tech offers a variety of services, including surveillance, data tracking, wireless charging and even access to payment platforms

ODA will also work with RC Birili for digital delivery services and Betta Power Services for pole installation and the wider roll-out.

Additionally, the business has signed an agreement with Future Meridian, which will act as a liaison for the federal government, assisting with grants and sales.

Orcoda’s Managing Director said the company wants to partner with the federal government to test its technology.

“Our next steps, now we have an expert team together, is to apply for Federal Government grants to support the funding of a pilot program to demonstrate the potential capabilities and benefits of an Orcoda Smart Pole network,” Geoff Jamieson said.

“Our Smart Poles Project represents significant opportunities to substantially grow our recurring revenues into the future and our team is excited about benefits that our technology can deliver to transport services and infrastructure both nationally and internationally,” he added.

Company shares are up 7.69 per cent at 14 cents each at 1:31 pm AEST.
