Orcoda’s (ODA) subsidiary has been issued a patent in the US covering the Orcoda Workforce Logistics System, “Booking System for Personnel Supply Chains”.

The US Patent Office granted the patent to Resource Connect Holdings, allowing ODA to protect its healthcare, resource platforms and wider booking system until 2036.

ODA said the new US patent confirms the novelty and originality of its technology platforms and also complements its Australian patents which protect the same systems.

Orcoda’s Managing Director Geoff Jamieson said he was very pleased to see its subsidiary granted the patent from the US Patent Office.

“This patent grant is a critical milestone for the company. It confirms to shareholders Orcoda’s groundbreaking digital solutions put us at the forefront of the digital revolution occurring in transport supply chains and personnel supply chains and also the carrying value of our intangibles,” he said.

“It also greatly enhances the company’s credibility and bargaining strength in licensing our technology to major international organisations. ODA has taken a repetitional leap forward with the official grant of this broad, commercially relevant US patent and I’m confident it will prove to be a key milestone in our growth phase and may deliver substantial recurring revenue streams that will enhance shareholder value.”

Following the patent issue, ODA will begin investigating whether corporations in Australia and the US are breaching the company’s patent.

The company said it would also pursue licensing opportunities in the resource sector and other applicable markets.

Shares in ODA ended Wednesday up 3.45 per cent at 15 cents each.
