Ordell is about to recommence drilling at the Barimaia gold project in Western Australia.

Ordell Minerals (ASX:ORD) has received an exploration boost in Week 7, with positive assay results returned in the lead-up to the company restarting drilling at the Barimaia gold project in Western Australia.

Results from Ordell’s RC drilling, completed in December CY25, from the McNabs East prospect have further confirmed a shallow, robust zone of gold mineralisation beginning approximately ten metres below the surface.

The drilling was part of an ongoing program to systematically test the McNabs East prospect and its strike extensions after the area showed promise in successful drilling programs completed earlier in CY25.

Highlights included nine metres at 2.29 grams per tonne (g/t) from 53 metres and 16m at 1.84g/t from 19m. The company’s now preparing to re-commence next week to further expand McNabs East and to target new discoveries.

MD, Michael Fowler, said drilling at McNabs East continues to reveal a shallow, robust zone of gold mineralisation with open-pit potential.

“We are very pleased to announce further strong drilling results from the in-fill RC drilling program at McNabs East, which was completed over about 400 metres of strike extent in December, aimed at further delineating this emerging open pit prospect,” the Ordell helmsman explained today.

“The drilling has confirmed a robust zone of shallow gold mineralisation which dips moderately to the south, comes to within less than 10m of surface and is interpreted to plunge shallowly to the east,” he added.

Mr Fowler also explained that drilling wrapped up in late CY25 has since confirmed a large drill target at McNabs East, as well as further east, where air-core geochemical drilling has intersected strong gold anomalism.

“Drilling is scheduled to commence next week, with planning for our CY26 exploration in full swing. The program will target extensions to the known mineralisation and new discoveries, both along strike and down-plunge of McNabs East and also along the entire +7km of known strike of the Barimaia intrusions.”

Drilling will include further testing of strike and plunge extensions of the gold mineralisation at McNabs East, with a focus on targeting high-grade gold zones.

ORD is up +1.2%, to 86c through Tuesday morning.
