Ore Resources (ASX:OR3) has defined new extensions at both the Big Red and Potoroo pegmatite systems at the Kangaroo Hills lithium project in Western Australia while advancing infill objectives, confirming consistent lithium grades and widths over a 500-metre northeast-southwest strike.

Notable intercepts from the Big Red drilling included hole KHRC214, which Ore told shareholders returned 34 metres at 1.11% Li2O from 77 metres, including a higher-grade zone of 14 metres at 1.63% Li2O from 96 metres.

Elsewhere in the hits, KHRC211 intercepted 18 metres at 1.03% Li2O from 103 metres, and KHRC209 returned 28 metres at 0.89% Li2O from 68 metres.

Step-out drilling to test northern extensions at Big Red also intersected mineralisation outside of previously established lines. Hole KHRC216 returned 12 metres at 1.05% Li2O from 147 metres, while hole KHRC200 encountered 10 metres at 1.02% Li2O from 145 metres. The company noted further work is required to fully define higher-grade trends and thickening mineralisation northward.

At the adjacent Potoroo pegmatite system, a 50-metre northern extension was defined via KHRC201, which intercepted eight metres at 1.08% Li2O from 130 metres. Potoroo remains open and continues to show a north-south strike, which the company said “indicates ongoing growth potential.”

“This programme has delivered on all fronts, including material strike extensions at both Big Red and Potoroo,” Ore’s managing director and CEO, Nick Rathjen, declared.

“The results of this programme provide increased confidence in the scale and continuity potential of Kangaroo Hills. In line with improving lithium market conditions and increasing activity in the region surrounding our Coolgardie projects, we are assessing several near-term project development and commercialisation pathways aimed at unlocking significant value at Kangaroo Hills,” he explained.

“Options include the clear potential for export, direct shipped ore, or domestic ore sales. Kangaroo Hills is one of the few remaining lithium projects in Australia, not in development, production, or subject to existing arrangements.”

More lithium-focused work is planned for late CY26. This schedule includes further drilling at Big Red and Potoroo, regional target testing at Kangaroo Hills, metallurgical test work, and initial drilling at Miriam, with a subsequent regulatory update now expected to be shared in coming weeks.

OR3 will open at 7.9cps today.
