Panther Metals (PNT) has begun a 1200-metre diamond drilling program at the Ironstone Gold Prospect in Western Australia.

This drilling will test and verify historical mineralisation, soil sampling and modelling which returned a peak intercept of nine metres at 22.27g/t gold including four metres at 46.20g/t gold from 112 metres.

This result was encountered by AngloGold Australia which completed a 19-hole reverse circulation (RC) drilling program in 2002.

White Cliff Minerals (WCN) then completed a five-hole RC drilling program in February 2016 that confirmed previous drilling.

A 20-hole aircore drilling program was completed later in the year with work identifying multiple broad mineralised zones that remain open at depth and along strike.

Results from this program included four metres at 1.8g/t gold within 12 metres at 1.1g/t gold, and four metres at 1.3g/t gold.

Further, the initial stratigraphic drilling has wrapped up at the Burtville East Gold Project with additional RC drilling scheduled for the end of the month.

“Having completed our initial stratigraphic drilling program at Burtville, the rig now moves
to Ironstone for 1200 metres of diamond drilling,” CEO & Managing Director Daniel Tuffin said.

“This program is planned to test and verify historic mineralisation and modelling for the
Main Lode at Ironstone, which has a peak historic gold intercept of nine metres at 22.27g/t gold (including four metres at 46.20g/t gold) from 112 metres in hole CWRC013.”

Panther has ended the day 3.19 per cent in the red with shares trading at 22.8 cents.
