Paterson Resources (PSL) has accelerated exploration across its West Australian and New South Wales projects.

A heritage team has mobilised to the Grace project in Western Australia to finalise Paterson’s phase two drilling program.

Up to 10,000-metres of reverse circulation (RC) drilling has been planned to extend the copper-gold mineralisation along the Grace-Bemm shear zone.

The drilling will also test multiple underexplored targets located on prospective structural trends.

An extensive soil sampling program is currently underway at Paterson’s Pilbara tenements with samples at the laboratory awaiting assay.

“We are excited to have boots on ground in the Pilbara with a soil geochemical survey well underway at our Pilbara projects,” Executive Director Matt Bull said.

“Coupled with an aggressive RC drilling program due to commence at the Grace project in the highly prospective Paterson Province, the company looks forward to a steady flow
of news in the coming months.”

Additionally, a rock chip sampling program is set to begin at Paterson’s Burraga project in the Lachlan Fold Belt in NSW.

Paterson is also waiting on results from the reinterpretation of data from a 2014 aeromagnetic survey and will use the findings to generate drill targets.

The company is also reviewing the suitability of additional ground geophysical methods to assist with targeting.

Shares in Paterson were up 27.3 per cent and were trading at 2.8 cents at 1:56 pm AEST.
