Pathfinder Resources (PF1) has released high-grade copper and cobalt assays from grab sampling at the company’s Bloom Lake project in Gowganda, Canada.

The company said 14 samples have been collected from outcropping veins with better results including 38.4 per cent copper, 0.45 per cent cobalt and 2,670 g/t silver.

According to Pathfinder, the system has previously had trenches and mini-pits excavated in past exploration programs.

The company said grab samples taken in 1998 yielded 219 to 603 g/t silver, 0.3 to 0.9 per cent cobalt and 11 to 14.7 per cent copper.

The sampling campaign has further confirmed the geochemical fingerprint of the veins at the project, which the company says consists of high-grade copper, cobalt and zinc.

All samples were submitted to Activation Laboratories in Ontario, Canada and are close to total for sulphide minerals.

The company said minimum expenditure requirements have been met, which should maintain the Lake Bloom project in good standing.

Shares were trading at 41 cents at the close of trade on February 3.
