Patriot Battery Metals (ASX:PMT) has officially kicked off its 2024 winter drill campaign at the company’s Corvette Property in the James Bay Region of Quebec, Canada.
The construction of a winter road, 20 kilometres in length, has been completed, extending site access from the all-season Trans-Taiga Road to the CV5 drill area.
“We have another huge year ahead of us with this aggressive drill campaign to upgrade the resource and continue to de-risk the project. It is an exciting time for the company,” PAT President, CEO, and Director, Blair Way said.
The drill program is scheduled to grow to ten drill rigs by the end of January, until late April, to achieve a minimum meterage of 45,000 metres during the winter period, and bolster confidence in the CV5 Pegmatite’s geological model.
This effort is expected to result in an upgrade of the maiden mineral resource estimate from the inferred category to the indicated category.
This campaign marks Quebec’s largest lithium drill campaign at the Corvette Property to date.
PMT last traded at 83.8 cents.
