Patriot Battery Metals (ASX:PMT) has completed the final round of drilling for 2023 at its Corvette property, located in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Quebec.

The drilling focused on the CV5, CV13, and CV9 pegmatites, encompassing 177 holes in the summer-fall program alone to a total of 350 drill holes for more than 105,000 metres of drilling for the full 2023 year.

The CV5 Spodumene Pegmatite, located approximately 13.5 km south of the Trans-Taiga Road and powerline infrastructure, holds a maiden mineral resource estimate of 109.2 Million tonnes at 1.42 per cent Lithium oxide.

High-grade potential

Lithium pegmatites were the priority, with Patriot continuing to intersect well-mineralised zones in step-out drilling at its CV5 pegmatite.

The results revealed 1.37 per cent Li2O from 56 metres, and 9.9 metred at 3.58 per cent Li2O.

“In addition to underpinning a maiden mineral resource estimate mid year, which established CV5 as a world class deposit and one of the largest lithium pegmatites globally, we have extended the strike length of CV5 to 4.35 km with drill results over additional prospective strike remaining to be reported,” PMT chiref Blair Way said.

“Further, drilling this summer-fall at CV13 has confirmed continuous pegmatite of at
least 1.1 km in strike length with drill results for an additional 1.2 km of prospective strike remaining to be reported.

“The 2023 program has firmly demonstrated the world class scale of the system at Corvette, and is poised for continued growth over the next few months as additional assays from the program are reported.”

Patriot plans to report pegmatite drill intercepts simultaneously with the release of respective core assays which are ongoing.

Core samples from the final holes are expected to reach the lab early in the new year.

PMT shares were down 3.39 per cent, trading at $1.14 at 10:29 am AEDT.
