Peregrine Gold (PGD) has begun ongoing exploration at the Pilgangoora North lithium project in Western Australia.

The program launched on Wednesday, which followed the granting of an exploration licence in July 2022, and assays from Peregrine’s initial reconnaissance visit to the PIlgangoora North tenement in February.

The reconnaissance trip confirmed the lithium prospectivity of the area, with stream samples indicating the presence of lithium, tantalum and niobium, with highlights including 289 parts per million lithium and 1769 parts per million tantalum.

A gold anomalism of 11.3 parts per million was also highlighted from a stream sediment sample, along with a historical lead occurrence of up to 9.3 per cent lead and 24 parts per million silver, with visible galena observed.

The company said its new exploration program will now be expanded to include reconnaissance stream sediment sampling over the entire tenement and a follow up of previous findings.

Peregrine Gold was up 3.45 per cent, trading at 60 cents at market close.
