- PlaySide Studios (PLY) has globally launched three new mobile games
- Toy Warfare is the second title in PlaySide’s Warfare franchise following the successful Animal Warfare
- Idle Area 51 has been launched in over 170 countries on the Apple App Store and is tenth on the U.S. Apple App Store chart in the strategy genre
- Garbage Truck 3D has also launched on Apple App Store and has already reached number 28 on the overall U.S. Apple App Store top game charts
- On the market this afternoon, PlaySide is up 5.33 per cent and is trading at 39.5 cents per share
PlaySide Studios (PLY) shares are in the green today after launching its three new mobile games.
Toy Warfare
One of the new mobile games, Toy Warfare allows users to create a team of toys, such as action figures, remote control cars and teddy bears, which are then sent to the battlefield.
This is the second title in PlaySide’s Warfare franchise and is built using its development system, WARkit, allowing the company to design, develop and deploy additional warfare casual titles
It is expected that the WARkit system will be used to develop a number of future titles.
PlaySide’s first Warfare game, Animal Warfare, is now available in over 170 countries on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Animal Warfare is the company’s most successful intellectual property (IP) title with over 7.7 million downloads to date.
Idle Area 51
The company has also launched Idle Area 51 in over 170 countries on the Apple App Store.
Idle Area 51 is a mobile game under the ‘idle’ genre, which allows the player to oversee secret research recovery facility Area 51.
PlaySide did a soft launch of the game just before Christmas and continued to refine the game prior to its offical launch.
The game has performed strongly so far, reaching tenth on the U.S. Apple App Store chart in the strategy genre.
Next steps for this game include launching an Android version on the Google Play Store by the end of the week.
Garbage Truck 3D
Playside’s hyper-casual game Garbage Truck 3D has also launched through the Tap2Jump brand in over 170 countries on the Apple App Store.
Garbage Truck 3D was developed in just seven weeks, with a soft launch on February 9, and has already performed strongly in a short timeframe by reaching number 28 on the U.S. Apple App Store top game charts.
The three new games are the first to be released by PlaySide, since listing on the ASX earlier this year.
On the market this afternoon, PlaySide is up 5.33 per cent and is trading at 39.5 cents per share at 12:56 pm AEDT.
