Power Minerals (PNN) has completed its four-hole drilling campaign at the Incahuasi salar at its Salta lithium project in Argentina – returning the highest average lithium grades to date.

The final hole of the drilling campaign struck lithium-bearing brines in a 60-metre interval under an alluvial fan approximately one kilometre from the edge of the salt surface at Incahuasi.

Assay results from five packer brine samples taken from selected intervals in the final hole, PM23-IN-04, returned the highest average grade to date of 214 milligrams per litre.

The company also reported the highest average brine density of 1.21 kilograms per litre.

Power Minerals Managing Director Mena Habib said the results from its final drill hole were encouraging.

“These results are significant and positive and confirm a consistent lithium grade across all four holes completed in this program,” he said.

“We will now move to confirm a maiden mineral resource estimate at Incahuasi, while the drill rig moves to the Rincon salar, the next target in our ongoing resource definition campaign.”

Brine and core samples were sent for laboratory analysis to determine the brine chemistry and density, drainable porosity, and confirm average lithium grades.

PNN shares were down 6.67 per cent and trading at 42 cents at 3:25 pm AEST.
