Predictive Discovery (PDI) has intersected wide gold mineralisation at its Bankan Gold Project in Guinea, West Africa.

Drilling was undertaken at both the NE Bankan and Bankan Creek prospects to test the down-dip extent of gold mineralisation.

Overall, Predictive is aiming to deliver a maiden JORC resource for Bankan by the middle of the year.

NE Bankan

The first five pre-collar reverse circulation (RC) holes drilled at NE Bankan returned thick gold intersections, confirming broad widths of gold mineralisation.

Best results include 88 metres at 1.8g/t gold from 112 metre,s including 35 metres at 2.6g/t gold from 165 metres and 33 metres at 1.6g/t gold from 167 metres.

Results from diamond drilling tails are pending.

Bankan Creek

The first diamond hole drilled at the Bankan Creek prospect aimed to test the gold mineralisation 100 metres down-dip from hole KKODD020.

Best results include 26 metres at 3.1g/t gold from 240 metres, including 6.8 metres at 8.1g/t gold from 242 metres and 10.4 metres at 2.1g/t gold from 199 metres.

“These first holes have intersected abundant gold and successfully extended the known mineralisation to depth. Each gold intercept in these new, deeper holes is therefore adding very significantly to the project’s scale and tonnage potential,” Managing Director Paul Roberts said.

“The programs at both NE Bankan and Bankan Creek are still in their early stages with plenty of drilling and results to be announced as the company aggressively targets its maiden mineral resource in mid-2021,” he added.

Power auger drilling is now underway, testing targets which lie a few kilometres from both prospects.

An aeromagnetic survey will be completed and reported on by late February with results to be used to target new gold discoveries.

Shares in Predictive are up 3.28 per cent and trading at 6.3 cents at 12:09 pm AEDT.
