Prospech (PRS) has begun phase two drilling at the Zemplin Prospect within the Cejkov-Zemplin Project in the Eastern Slovakia neovolcanic belt.
This phase two program follows the April drilling program that intersected over 40 epithermal veins hosted within zones of hydrothermally altered rhyodactic and andesitic volcanics.
Results from this program include 4.3 metres at 201 grams per tonne (g/t) silver from 92.5 metres including 0.5 metres at 1220g/t silver from 92.5 metres, and six metres at 117g/t silver from 94 metres including 1.8 metres at 291g/t silver from 97.2 metres.
“The Zemplin prospect is an under-explored, high-grade, silver-rich epithermal vein system which, unusually for the Western Tethyan mineral belt, is mostly covered by a thin layer of younger rocks or sediments,” Managing Director Jason Beckton commented.
“The drone magnetics, along with a recently completed, very detailed LIDAR survey will
provide valuable data to assist in planning the follow-up drilling and the discovery of new targets.”
According to Mr Beckton, drilling will begin at Prospech’s flagship Hodrusa exploration licence once work wraps up at Zemplin.
This drilling will target and test a number of induced polarisation (IP) anomalies.
Further, the historical Schopfer mine will also be drilled and will test documented high-grade gold and silver shoots that remain at depth.
Shares in Prospech were steady on the market today, finishing in the grey at 4.6 cents.
