Precious metals exploration company Prospech (PRS) has intersected up to 488g/t silver from the Zemplin Prospect in Slovakia.

Zemplin is part of the Cejkov-Zemplin Project which lies within the Eastern Slovakian neovolcanic belt and is prospective for precious-metal- and base-metal-style mineralisation.

Prospech has recently completed a four-hole drilling program at the project, which intersected more than 40 epithermal veins.

Results have been received for the first two with grades peaking at six metres at 128.3g/t silver and 0.2 per cent lead from 94 metres including 0.9 metres at 488g/t silver from 98.1 metres.

Other results include 4.5 metres at 163.6g/t silver and 0.2 per cent lead from 85.3 metres including 0.8 metres at 342g/t silver from 89 metres, and 0.5 metres at 202g/t silver, 0.6 per cent lead and 1.3 per cent zinc from 113.7 metres.

Prospech is now sampling these two holes while samples from the remaining two holes will be sent to the laboratory this week.

“The Zemplin prospect has delivered extremely encouraging results and we intend to conduct an additional drill program on receipt of complete results including holes CZDD002 and CZDD004,” Managing Director Jason Beckton said.

“Textural and lithological indications are that the current drilling is high-up in the epithermal system which is where the next holes at Zemplin will be targeted,” he added.

Drilling equipment is currently being mobilised to Prospech’s Krakauer Gold-Silver Prospect with work to begin shortly.

Prospech has ended the day 11.5 per cent in the green with shares trading at 14.5 cents in an $11.47 million market cap.
