Prospech (PRS) has received initial results from drilling at the Krakauer vein prospect within the Nova Bana Project in Slovakia.

Drilling began in mid-May but was originally meant to start earlier as work was delayed due to COVID-19.

Six holes were planned to shallow to intermediate depth with aims of targeting gold and silver mineralisation.

Results have been received for two holes with a further four holes currently being drilled and results to be reported shortly.

Best results come from hole KVDD001 where a result of 4.5 metres at 2.01 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) and 29g/t silver from 162.8 metres, including 0.5 metres at 6.95g/t gold and 84g/t silver from 163.7 silver was intersected.

Managing Director Jason Beckton is pleased with the results and said Prospech was in the process of preparing additional drill sites.

“The Krakauer drilling results are confirmation of thickness of a brecciated vein trending northwest and continued drilling is warranted,” Mr Beckton said. “There is evidence for a higher grade shoot within the vein structure, with previous rock chip sampling assays up to 283 g/t gold and 1700 g/t silver.”

“Additional drill sites at Prospech’s Zemplin silver discovery, the Anton gold silver prospect and the Pukanec gold silver prospect are being prepared for a second rig which is expected to be on site in August 2021.”

Shares in Prospech closed down 8.33 per cent at 11 cents apiece on July 23.
