Prospech (PRS) is set to commence drilling at Zemplin prospect located within the Cejkov-Zemplin exploration licence, in the Eastern Slovakian neovolcanic belt.

In the early 1990s, the Slovak Government and Rio Tinto previously explored the area.

In late 2019, Prospech completed an iconic leach soils program to refine the drilling target and also to plan for future, probable geologic structure extension drilling.

Now, the company plans on drilling up to 600 metres to test the mineralisation in the explored area.

Previous drilling results include 2.5 metres at 514 g/t silver, 0.025 g/t gold, 13.37 per cent lead, 8.34 per cent zinc from 95 metres.

“The Cejkov-Zemplin licence has delivered extremely encouraging historical results and we intend to execute this program in a short time frame to assess further resource assessment work as we commence work in Eastern Slovakia using all Slovak contractors,” Managing Director Jason Beckton said.

“We look forward to announcing further results when drilling recommences in March,” he added.

Additionally, Prospech’s Western Slovakia projects, Hodrusa and Nova Bana, also have prospects ready to commence drilling from mid-March onwards.

On market close, Prospech is in the grey and trading at 16 cents per share.
