Province Resources (PRL) has secured additional land for the proposed HyEnergy green hydrogen project in Western Australia’s Gascoyne region.

The project is proposed to generate 550,000 tonnes per annum of green hydrogen to supply domestic and international markets.

Together with project partner Total Eren, an additional 2217 square kilometres has been secured taking the licensed area in Carnarvon to over 3000 square metres.

The section 91 licences are issued under the Western Australian Land Administration Act, allowing studies to be undertaken to support feasibility activities.

The new licences were granted after PRL and Total Eren gained the support of the Yinggarda, and Nganhurra Thanardi Garrbu Aboriginal Corporations.

Additionally, agreements have been finalised with a number of pastoral station owners in the region.

Province CEO and Managing Director David Frances said it was pleasing to have the support of Traditional Owners, pastoralists and the Local and State Government in this process.

“The issue of these licences was only possible with the support of the Gascoyne community and we are delighted with the way stakeholders have embraced the HyEnergy Project,” Mr Frances said.

Province shares were up 4.17 per cent, trading at 12.5 cents at 1:08 pm AEST.
