Pure Hydrogen (PH2) has released a zero-emission, portable electricity power unit called POWER H2.

In conjunction with its minority partner H2X Global, the company released units with 5 kilowatt (kw), 20kw, 50kw and 100kw capacities that each use hydrogen as the only fuel to generate electricity.

The Australian company said the products would be available for purchase starting in 2022, with a customer base currently being engaged.

Pure Hydrogen is also working with industrial users to supply back-to-back fuelling solutions, off-take agreements and vehicle supply.

According to PH2, the clean power unit can be used for various purposes including backup power and/or supply to power mobile communication towers, farms, businesses, hospitals, households and mine sites.

“The Power H2 units have at their heart hydrogen fuel cells and powertrain that have been developed over several years,” Managing Director Scott Brown said.

“The Power H2 units demonstrate H2X’s ability to bring hydrogen-powered products to market successfully given their strong technology skills and established manufacturing and logistics supply chain which helps to bring products to market efficiently.

“Their technology is at the forefront of the hydrogen revolution and it is great to see it being implemented commercially”.

Pure Hydrogen shares have raised 10.8 per cent to 46 cents a share at 11:43 am AEDT.
