Pursuit Minerals (PUR) has begun a 5500-metre aircore (AC) drilling program at its Commando project in Western Australia.

A total of 156 holes will be drilled across the Paddington North, Gidji and Federal West project areas to test fold gold anomalism.

Paddington North

At the Wedge prospect, 38 aircore holes will be drilled to test a large gold-bismuth-antimony-tellurium-molybdenum-sulphur anomaly which reportedly has values of up to 897 parts per billion (ppb) gold.

A total of 12 AC drill holes are also planned across a gold anomaly at the Whisperer prospect, while two will be drilled at the Porphyry prospect.

Gidji

Around 40 holes will be drilled at Gidji to explore for anomalous gold and highly prospective structural positions along the Bardoc and Kanowna shear zones.

Federal West

Pursuit has planned to drill 63 AC holes at the Federal West project area with 44 holes to be drilled at the Bungarra prospect, 14 holes at the Skink prospect and five at the WCUB911 target.

“Pursuit is very pleased to announce AC drilling is underway on the four new gold prospects discovered by recent auger sampling at Commando,” Managing Director Bon Affleck said.

“We expect the program to take approximately two weeks to complete and assay results are likely to be available around the end of August.

“We expect this program will find exciting new areas for follow-up drilling in H2 2022.”

Shares in Pursuit were up 5.56 per cent on the market and were trading at 1.9 cents at 1:14 pm AEST.
