Pursuit Minerals (PUR) has identified five electromagnetic (EM) conductors at the Calingiri East tenement, which is part of the Warrior Project in WA.

An airborne electromagnetic survey is being conducted across four exploration licences at the Warrior Project. The survey is aimed at locating conductors related to massive sulphide platinum group element (PGE)-nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation.

The preliminary data from the airborne EM survey has been received for the Calingiri East survey block, where the five “late-time” conductors were found. The EM conductors cover a combined strike length of about 5000 metres.

Pleasingly, the EM conductors are associated with aeromagnetic anomalies that are interpreted to be due to mafic and ultramafic intrusions. These are known to host the PGE-nickel-copper mineralisation at Chalice Mining’s (CHN) Gonneville intrusion within its Julimar Project.

“The PGE-nickel-copper targets which have been recognised from the preliminary data from the Calingiri East AEM survey block, demonstrate how the application of AEM surveys to PGE-nickel-copper exploration can rapidly advance a project and generate highly prospective targets for drill testing,” CEO Mark Freeman said.

Due to the nature of these conductors, Pursuit has extended the survey block to the west and south with an additional 207 kilometres of data to be collected. Overall, the Warrior Project survey will now include 1922 kilometres of data collection — of which 406 kilometres have been flown as of February 18.

The survey is expected to be completed by the end of the month, with final and fully processed data to be delivered by mid-April.

Following this, Pursuit will use the data to generate targets for ground EM surveys and, potentially, soil geochemical surveys later this year.

Pursuit’s shares are up 32.4 per cent on the back of this news and are trading at 4.9 cents at 10:12 am AEDT.
