Pursuit Minerals (PUR) has received results from the first-ever geochemical sampling program conducted across the Commando tenement package in WA.

The company recently completed an auger sampling program across the project area to collect samples from an untested zones and reach closer bedrock.

Positively, the results have uncovered four new prospects and multiple gold anomalies at the Paddington North and Federal West tenements.

Paddington North

Firstly, the company discovered the Wedge prospect which comprises a 1.9-kilometre by 500-metre anomaly. The anomaly contains gold grading up to 895 parts per billion (ppb) as well as traces of bismuth, antimony, tellurium, sulphur and molybdenum.

The Whisperer prospect is also a newly identified area which comprises a 350-metre by 90-metre gold-sulphur-bismuth anomaly. The anomaly returned gold grades peaking at 150 ppb.

Additionally, the historical Porphyry prospect contains a 300-metre by 70-metre anomaly which peaked at 187.5 ppb gold and has reportedly not been explored effectively.

The Six Boys one-kilometre trend returned a peak value of 354 ppb gold and further ground work is required to ensure the area doesn’t reflect past prospector activity and warrants further drilling.

Federal West

Pursuit Minerals discovered two prospects at Federal West which are the Bungarra and Skink prospects.

Bungarra returned a gold result of 101 ppb along strike to the northeast and resampling of historical holes returned a bottom-of-hole (BOH) value of 91 ppb gold.

At the Skink prospect, a 1.2-kilometre by 200-metre anomaly was uncovered with grades of up to 46.9 ppb.

Additionally, a historical hole drilled 140 metres from the anomaly reported 323 ppb gold but was never followed up.

Managing Director Bob Affleck said the company was pleased to discover four new prospects and new gold anomalies at the Commando project.

“This reinforces the prospectivity of this underexplored project. The results provide the company with new quality targets for our forthcoming aircore drilling program at Commando.”

Company shares were up 14.3 per cent to trade at 2.4 cents at midday AEST.
