Raptor Metals (ASX:RAP) has confirmed a high-grade copper system with further assays from its maiden drilling campaign at the Chester project in New Brunswick, Canada.

The company has received further positive outcomes with assay results from the remaining three HQ diamond drill holes completed as part of its 19-hole, 2,126m diamond drilling program. Notably, the results have highlighted copper mineralisation across the East Zone, Central Zone and Copper Stringer Zone.

MD Brett Wallace said, collectively, the 16-hole HQ drilling program has successfully validated the existing geological model, improved understanding of the relationship between the principal mineralised zones, and laid the foundation for the next phase of geological modelling and resource growth targeting.

“The results from this drilling program have given us exactly what we were hoping to see. We’ve confirmed mineralisation across all three of the key zones, including beyond the existing Central Zone, giving us confidence that Chester is a much broader mineralised system than the current mineral resource alone,” he said.

“While the objective of this program was to validate the existing mineral resource, we’ve also identified compelling opportunities to test extensions beyond the current resource area. With only around 700 metres of an interpreted +2.5 kilometre mineralised trend tested by this drilling program, we believe there is significant potential to further extend and define the mineralised footprint.”

Mr Wallace told shareholders Raptor is now focused on integrating the drilling, downhole EM surveys, metallurgical test work and historical datasets to refine a geological model and guide the next phase of exploration at Chester and evaluate opportunities to update the current mineral resource estimate.

“We are also looking forward to commencing our maiden drill program at Coyote, which presents a near- term opportunity to expand our existing resource inventory, adding shallow, high-grade copper mineralisation.”

Assay results from all 16 HQ drill holes have successfully validated historical mineralisation while substantially improving the company’s geological understanding of the spatial relationship between copper stringer mineralisation, massive sulphide horizons and associated polymetallic mineralisation.

Mr Wallace said results reinforce the interpretation of Chester as a stacked volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) system comprising multiple mineralised horizons, with copper-rich stringer mineralisation closely associated with broader massive sulphide and polymetallic horizons.
